ABOUTTHE CLIENT

AGROS d.o.o. Blate is a company that was established in April 1992 with the aim of continuing the production program of tractor loaders and diggers from the former company RIKO RIBNICA. Over time, they have expanded their offering to other segments (municipal and forestry programs). With a young and ambitious team, they strive to ensure that their products are of the highest quality and provide customers with all the necessary support and advice on product use.

At AGROS d.o.o. Blate, they strive to complement the loader and digger program, developing new machines and tools. All products are made from high-quality materials and using modern processing methods (Laser, CNC, etc.). Before the product leaves the production facilities, it undergoes thorough quality and durability checks.

The production program of AGROS d.o.o. includes the production of:

  • Front tractor loaders
  • Rear tractor loaders
  • Rear tractor diggers
  • Forestry trailers and cranes
  • Front hydraulics
  • Snow plow blades
  • Buckets for forklifts, yard tractors, etc.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The AGROS website is built using the Concrete 5 tool. It is a classic company presentation site, for which Concrete 5 is ideal since it is free and open-source under the MIT software license. Concrete 5 is designed for both small and large companies.

And what types of sites can we build with the Concrete tool?

  • Online magazines, newspapers, and portals
  • eCommerce sites
  • Extranet and Intranet networks/portals
  • Government websites
  • Small business sites
  • Nonprofit and NGO websites
  • Church, club, and team websites
  • Personal or family homepages
  • Marketing-oriented corporate sites
  • Websites for educational institutions

Many CMSs (content management systems) are developed by developers for developers. Building and maintaining a website with them can be quite complicated and intimidating for someone who doesn’t know how to code. The editing experience might work, but if you want to make even basic content changes, you’re usually dealing with long web forms in the “back-end.” Adding new features is something that requires technical knowledge and experience. Imagine having to call a consultant every time you want to write a new Word document. How useful would such a program be?

On the other hand, there are numerous solutions targeted at the DIY (do-it-yourself) segment of the market. These tools are great for quickly building small sites. However, some of their assumptions and limitations, which allow you to easily start and finish a website quickly, later become obstacles because you can’t scale and adapt the site to new and evolving needs.

With Concrete, you get the best of both worlds. Anyone can launch their website in seconds, and the editing experience is simple; just click what you want to change and change it. Developers still get a flexible framework for building complex web applications. With Concrete, you’ll have a website where you can make changes and upgrades in the coming years as the need arises.
