In accordance with the basic aims of the Fund, as defined in the Farmland and Forest Fund of the Republic of Slovenia Act, Slovenian agriculture development strategy and Slovenian forestry development programme, the Fund’s key areas of work are:

The key responsibility and task of the Department of Agriculture is to manage and dispose of agricultural land in the possession of the Republic of Slovenia. Among the Fund’s responsibilities are: concluding lease agreements on the basis of public tenders to lease farmland and to implement active farmland trade policy including purchase, sale and exchange of farmland.
In the framework of the Farmland and Forest Fund of the Republic of Slovenia, the Department of Agriculture is also responsible for the maintenance of agricultural infrastructure, and land redevelopment and amelioration. Each year, the Department of Agriculture draws up an annual work plan and, in the end of the year, a report on farmland management which forms and integral part of the final report of the Fund. The Head of the Department of Agriculture is Mr Martin Brus, bachelor of livestock production (univ. dipl. inž. živinoreje).
Managing farmland in the possession of the Republic of Slovenia
In accordance with the Farmland and Forest Fund of the Republic of Slovenia Act the Fund manages the farmland and forests in the possession of the Republic of Slovenia.
Managing comprises disposing of and governing the farmland:
- Disposing of farmland means especially implementing procedures related to the change of the ownership: trade, exchange, dissolutions, reallocations, restitution, replacement land, free transfers on the basis of the law.
- Governing farmland means to provide rational use, adequate rent, to maintain environmental value and improve the land structure as well as to provide accurate land records.

The application is made by means of the ASP.NET MVC network. It is set up on the Microsoft Azure cloud service. The data search is made through the Solr platform, and the data is saved on the MS SQL server.
Screenshots and detailed description of the solution are deemed business secret. Therefore, the description of the project is less exhaustive as in other cases.
