The Slovenian Business Club – Klub slovenskih podjetnikov – SBC connects outstanding Slovenian entrepreneurs who develop top companies through their own ideas and efforts, and who aspire to make Slovenia more entrepreneurial.

Founded in 2014, the Club brings together 308 members (as of June 2022) who operate significantly above average and have achieved business success either through their own innovative ideas or as successors of family businesses. This group of companies has a 23% higher added value than the average in the Slovenian economy. Over the past five years, these companies have increased their sales by 54% and their exports have grown by 137%.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

For our client SBC, we have developed what is considered the most business-oriented mobile application in Slovenia.

The web component of the solution is built using the Concrete CMS framework, which communicates with the mobile applications through API calls. These mobile applications are created using the hybrid tool Ionic.

Hybrid applications are essentially web applications, but they are encapsulated within a “light container” of a native application, allowing them to utilize certain functionalities of the native platform and access the device’s hardware (such as the camera, calendar, push notifications, screen gestures, etc.), which web applications typically cannot access.

Like web applications, hybrid applications are built using commonly used front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS. This enables them to function across all platforms. Hybrid applications, just like native ones, can also be accessed through app stores.
